Review of FlippingHomes.com

The following is a sponsored post by FlippingHomes.com
I mentioned the ReviewMe program last post as far as a way to monetize your REI blog, and I was pretty psyched to see that I had a review request from JP Moses at FlippingHomes.com. Why? I’d already been checking out their primary site at FlippingHomes.com for awhile and found it useful, so it was pretty much a no-brainer to write a review about their primary site and recently launched blog.
While the blog was recently launched at the beginning of August, it’s already got some useful material there. Aside from the slick, clean look and feel of it, I like the fact that it casts a pretty wide net, as far as REI topics covered. There’s obviously the expected talk about flipping, but also links and discussion about related topics such as short sales, mortgage lending, and other topics that most flippers find interesting and applicable. And it’s all well-written, with a dose of humor thrown in, which is a fairly rare thing in the world of blogging these days.
As far as their primary site at FlippingHomes.com, lots of good stuff there to sink your teeth into. I can’t vouch for any of the products they sell (I’m still at the steadfast denial stage of my REI career, as far as refusing to pay for informational products), but they’ve got a lot of good (free) content on the site, if you’re willing to do some digging. The forum is pretty active, and there’s a lot of good stuff in the REI articles, as well as some actual case studies from the world of flipping.
There are lots of schlocky, shilly REI sites that are just looking to upsell you to some insanely expensive products, but this isn’t one of them. Yeah, they’ve got products to sell and would love it if you bought them, so don’t expect an entirely ad-free experience at FlippingHomes.com, but they also have learned that it’s a whole lot easier to sell people something if yo build a useful, valuable community first, so there’s plenty of reason for flippers and REI types to check out their blog and site, even if you never spend a penny with them.

Are you still planning to put up pics and repair costs for the Main house, or did you scratch that idea? Also, congrats on your offer acceptance on the new place. Looks like this is rolling right along for ya. :)
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
