I believe you&#039;re thinking about the foreclosure/REO process. The tax deed sale process (in Texas at least) definitely doesn&#039;t wipe out all existing liens, as it&#039;s pretty common to pick up properties at tax deed sales that still have mowing liens attached to them, as well as liens for boarding up abandoned properties, etc. If you buy the deed, you&#039;re also on the hook for paying those liens as well.</description>
